In Eastman’s “Artobiography” (pg 57), he had this to say about the painting:“ A 1984 pencil sketch was the starting point for the first full color painting of the guys, done to dress up the booth for the first convention we went to. This is where them all wearing “Red Bandanas” started, and would remain so until we tweaked them for the toys and cartoon show in 1987.”
They made us too smart, too quick, and too many. We are suffering for the mistakes they made because when the end comes, all that will be left is us. That’s why they hate us, and that is why you must stay here, with me.
